Engineering & Science Career Fair

The University of New Mexico (UNM) Career Services office, on behalf of the UNM Hispanic Engineering and Science Organization (HESO), invites you to register for the 36th Annual UNM Engineering and Science Career Fair! The UNM Engineering and Science career fair is set for September 14, 2016, and will be held in the Student Union Building Ballrooms. Basic registration fee includes one six-foot table (covered and skirted), draped backdrop w/organization name at top, seating for two recruiters, and one parking validation (no in-out privileges).

To help you get the most out of your recruiting efforts, the technical/science/engineering career fair is scheduled in conjunction with the Business & Accounting Career Fair, which is scheduled for the following day. The dual format will allow you to visit UNM two days in a row, reach science and engineering students on September 14th, and business students on September 15th. Separate registration is required to attend both events. Organizations that register for both career fairs will be given the same table for both fairs

Engineering & Science: September 14, 2016

  • 8:00am - 9:00am: Recruiter sign in and booth setup
  • 9:00am - 3:00pm: Open to Students & Alumni
  • 3:00pm - 3:30pm: Career Fair Closed/ Booth Break Down

Business & Accounting: September 15, 2016(Separate Registration required)

  • 9:30am - 11:00am: Recruiter sign in and booth setup
  • 11:00am - 4:00pm: Open to Students and Alumni
  • 4:00pm - 5:00pm: Career Fair Closed/ Booth Break Down

Registration is exclusively via Lobo Career Connection. Once you log in, go to the "events" item on the landing page and proceed with registration.

Registration Fee

  • Early Lobo Registration June 2 - July 4 $350
  • Regular Registration fee July 13 - September 12 $450
  • Late Registration on or after September 13 $550
  • Booth Size: Tables are 6-feet wide with space and chairs for 2 recruiters.
  • LoboCash cards: (up to two per registration) will be provided for breakfast and lunch. The cards are accepted in all of the food venues in the Student Union Building. You choose the venue, you choose the time!
  • Electricity: Electrical outlets can be provided at an additional fee of $50.00 at the time of registration. If electrical outlets are requested on the day of the event, there will be a charge of $75.00. Electrical connections must be provided by the UNM approved vendor only. No recruiter electrical connections will be allowed.
  • Parking: Registration includes validated parking in the parking structure (no in-out privileges)
  • Extra Recruiters: Additional recruiters, up to a total of 6, may attend at $20 per person.
  • Extra Table: One additional table may be purchased for $200, including attendance of 2 recruiters
  • Payment: by P.O., check, Visa/MC/AMEX is accepted. (Credit card payment is available during registration on Lobo Career Connection. After you confirm the invoice amount there is a pay by credit card button to process your payment instantly. You will receive a receipt shortly after through email.)

Driving Directions and Parking

Not familiar with Albuquerque? Use our detailed directions and maps to get you to our career fair easily! You will also find information on parking permits for once you arrive.

From the Visitor Lot, walk north, Popejoy Hall will be on your left. The SUB will also be on your left, Building #60 on the campus map available on the UNM website. The ballroom is located in the northwest corner of the building. Watch for our signs with balloons to direct you to the fair!
