Elena Matthews, MA, LPCC

Career Development Facilitator Sr

Elena Matthews, LPCC, a Career Development Facilitator (CDF) since February 2019.  As a CDF Sr., I blend my professional experience as a clinical counselor with career development methods to provide structure to your professional development.  A work-life balance is at the core of my professional values.  I assist clients with identifying their own core values when it comes to exploring professional decisions and advancements.

I recognize that career is an important part of one's life, one part of many, that influences meaningful living.  I approach collaboratively creating goals by identifying your employment experiences, education, interests, resources, and transferable skills/strengths.

My own career advancements have grown from earning a B.A. in Psychology and a M.A. in Counseling at UNM.  My job experience working within a local domestic violence community agency advanced my knowledge about wellness and resiliency as personal resources. I am passionate about utilizing my clinical skills to help individuals with their career paths. I look forward to helping you increase your insight to what you value, how to increase wellness, and identify your strengths gained by resilience.
