Heather Ver Brugge

Career Development Facilitator I

Heather has had the privilege of serving in the role of CDF I and working with our dynamic, creative team of career professionals since August 2012. Before coming to UNM, she worked at a local high school where she discovered her passion for working with young adults as they embark on their college careers and begin to explore their future career options. Heather has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UNM, and will complete her Master’s degree in Counseling in December 2017. Heather is the Career Services liaison to the College of Arts & Sciences, including Health Sciences, and to University College, including the BLA/BIS programs and undecided students. She also is the liaison to UNM’s Accessibility Resource Center (ARC) and the campus coordinator for the Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP), a federal program that helps students with disabilities obtain employment with the federal government. Heather’s interests include travelling, preferably to warm sunny beaches, dark comedies, furry animals, and wellness initiatives. Beginning this year, Heather is serving as the Wellness Ambassador for the Office of Career Services.
